ABOUT QUICKDRAW
Following the presentation of a plaque to the reigning champion, going over rules, pizza delivery time and the general layout of the facility, we begin the QuickDraw process. Ron, our event co-founder will draw numbers which are duplicates of the numbers on the reverse side of the Door Prize cards that each player receives when they arrive.
He’ll then say, Bracket One: and will call two numbers. The first number being the Home Team, and the second number being the Visiting Team. When both players produce their tickets which match the numbers called, they will then go to the first available station to begin their Main Tournament, Round One game at the All-Pro Level. And so it will go from there until the entirety of the Brackets have been filled by the field of players.
If BYES are involved, he’ll call BYE ROUND, Slot One, and whomever he calls, will await the winner of the round that preceeds him. For those who lose in the first round, they’ll move on to the Consolation Bracket where they’ll go through the same procedure with Ron for the 5-12 of them that bounce out of first round action. We use a range of 5-12 here because head count will determine how many players compete in round one.
